18th May, 2013 – Still no closer to a diagnosis for Maximus but a huge day for us in spreading the word. First we woke up to our baby boy on the front cover of the Herald Sun newspaper!
And the article:
Later that day; a story on the news:
Seven News Melbourne – 18th May 2013
Thank you so much to all of the people who have written, shared, responded, assisted and cared for our Maxi. There has been a fantastic response and we are sifting through all the replies and suggestions, shall keep you posted. Best wishes, Yael
Hi Maximus!,
As soon as I saw you on the Herald Sun I recognised you. 🙂 How could someone ever forget that cheeky smile.
I remember seeing you and your mum push you constantly in your wheelchair around the Cockatoo ward at the end of August 2012. Though I was in such a blur at the time that I didn’t stop to talk to you and your mum, as we were also dealing with the barrage of different medical people. It was at this time that my little boy was diagnosed and we were fortunate to spend 11 days before coming home.
Like you, we are in and out of the Royal Children’s Hospital. I often wonder how you are all going. Continue to put it out there Yael and hopefully one day there might be a cure for Maximus.
Trish
Trish Thank you so much for contacting us, and I am sorry to hear you went through such a difficult time with your little boy. We too spent 11 days there and it was when we were told of Maxi’s brain tumours, awful, unforgettable, life changing moment, but we just have to roll with what we are dealt and you sound like a wonderful mum, please email me directly with your number, I would like to stay in touch 🙂
Loved the article in the Herald Sun and the photos with Molly were great. Maxi is such a wonderful child.
Thanks Christine, hope you are well xx
